Another Cake

Today was Mike Mater and Michelle Miller's wedding. My pictures didn't turn out the best. The cake was not yellow but ivory. Thankfully everything went smoothly and the only thing I had to worry about was someone shaking the table. It turned out well and Michelle liked it - that' really all that counts anyhow.

The cake was beautiful and tasty :) My pics turned out the same way so I think we won't ever be able to convince anybody otherwise. I loved how the line for the appetizers allowed for us to get to admire the cake. Alot of times it is off and away and takes effort to see (okay anything with 3 kids is effort). Great job!! Does it make you nervous?

Martha - Thank you. I thought it was nice the way it was set up. It wasn't the center of attraction - I hate that! It means I can't have a "back" side! But the corner was nice. Michelle's cake made me a little nervous since it was so tall and was a push in pillar construction instead of the typical pillar and plate. But it stayed standing - thankfully there were no little kids who stood rocking the table which always gives me a heart attack. You will love Mike and Michelle. Mike was in my husband's discipleship group last year and so he was in our home pretty much every week. Michelle took one class from me and her spirit was always so kind and thoughtful.
Sonja - Thanks. It's the only artistic ability I have. But the main reason I do it is because it's FUN!

So pretty! I must add that it is giving me a hankering for icing! :-) (I know that surprises you. Ha.)

The cake was wonderful! I enjoyed it! Thanks for your comment on our website! It is true hats are expensive. I got mine on a grand sale, but over here some women can pay over 100 pounds for a hat.(which is about $225 u.s.right now) The little barret that I wear to most church was a gift from my Grandmother.
