Garden

Today I harvested 5 heads of broccoli. They were very large heads and made 12 packages. My cauliflower is as much of a failure as my broccoli was a success. Not one single head yet! The corn made it's appearance over the weekend, Allan and I planted the watermelon yesterday, I hope to get the okra out tomorrow.

The semester is over and the campus is strangely quiet. Philip is still involved in assessment week but my summer break has officially started. This week started with a bang and I'm not sure that "break" is the right word.

For those of you who know my mother, please keep her in your prayers. She has been hospitalized (2nd time since May 23rd) again. This time with a hematoma in her iliac muscle. It looks like she will be there for awhile.

Oh YUM! So happy for you! One of our favorite garden veggies is brocoli...nothing compares to home grown, does it! We miss our garden so much...so glad yours is doing well in spite of all the deer!
